Circumstances in which you may charge for perusing correspondence under A&A

Perusing incoming correspondence addressed to you is not chargeable.  The exception is in connection with correspondence setting out decisions relating to tribunals or appeals to the Immigration Service which also contain detailed reasons for the decision.

You can charge for perusing correspondence addressed to your client or another party in connection with the claim.  However, you cannot make a separate perusal charge for correspondence or documents brought in by the client and discussed during a meeting, since this work is covered by the time charge for the meeting.
