Children’s Duty Scheme – Festive Period Arrangements

Tuesday, Dec 03, 2013

We have been advised by the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration (SCRA) that its offices will be open until 5pm on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

For firms who are on the Children’s Duty Plan on those days please remember that you will need to be available up to 5pm.

As stated in the eligibility criteria for inclusion on the Children’s Duty Plan, it is a firm’s responsibility to fulfil all duty plan obligations and to ensure that representation is provided where required.

It is important that you let us know now if you will be unable to act if required on either day up to 5pm.

Firms on duty over the festive period need to be available as follows:

  • 23rd December – Normal Business Hours (9-5pm)
  • 24th December – Normal Business Hours (9-5pm)
  • 25th December – Not Required
  • 26th December – Not required
  • 27th  December – Normal Business Hours (9-5pm)
  • 30th December – Normal Business Hours (9-5pm)
  • 31st December – Normal Business Hours (9-5pm)
  • 1st January 2014 – Not Required
  • 2nd January 2014 – Not required
  • 3rd January 2014 – Normal Business Hours (9-5pm)

If your firm is on duty on any of these dates and your office is going to be closed or unavailable at certain times over the festive period, contact us to make alternative arrangements.
