We have the power to attach standard conditions to all our grants of summary criminal legal aid. Each grant is conditional on your client telling us about any material change in their financial circumstances during the lifetime of the case.

Currently, we need to know if their annual income and/or capital increases by more than £750 during the lifetime of the case. Where any change to income and/or capital would mean your client was no longer eligible to continue to receive summary legal aid, we will terminate the grant from the date of the change.
