When can you charge for providing A&A?

You can only charge for providing advice and assistance once you are satisfied your client is eligible.

Free ABWOR: assessing financial eligibility before admission to advice and assistance

If you believe free ABWOR may be available, but this is subject to further enquiry, you must still apply the financial eligibility test before admitting your client to A&A.  There are no exceptions to the requirement to apply a financial eligibility test under advice and assistance. You cannot start to provide advice and assistance until you have obtained the necessary information and satisfied yourself of eligibility.

You can only lodge an account with us if after providing advice, if any contribution, expenses or property recovered or preserved are insufficient to meet your account.
