No work chargeable before advice and assistance is granted
Work undertaken before advice and assistance is granted is not chargeable. You cannot charge for any time spent obtaining information from an applicant about eligibility, assessing financial eligibility or completing an advice and assistance application as this work is done before you are satisfied the applicant is financially eligible. Nor can you charge for any time spent travelling to meet an applicant with a view to granting advice and assistance before you are satisfied that the statutory tests are met.
Equally, any work done in obtaining ex post facto verification of disposable income or capital is not chargeable.
