Minister appoints five new board members

The Minister for Victims and Community Safety, Siobhian Brown, has announced the appointment of five new Board members to the Scottish Legal Aid Board.

David Fisken and Amy Hunter have been appointed as legal members; Maureen Malllon and Patricia Stewart have been appointed as a non-legal members, and Alexandra Walker has been appointed as a member with courts experience.

Alexandra Walker’s appointment will be for three years and will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. Maureen Mallon, David Fisken, and Patricia Stewart’s appointments will be for four years and will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2030 and Amy Hunters’s appointment will be for five years, running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2031.
