Updates to Keycards for 2024-25

This update is to outline changes being made to the Keycards published on our website for 2024-25.

The changes are effective from Monday 8 April 2024, when the updated Keycards will be made available.

The updates will be applied to the three Keycards covering the three main Legal Aid types:

  • Criminal Advice & Assistance and ABWOR
  • Civil Advice & Assistance and ABWOR, and legal aid
  • Children’s Advice & Assistance and ABWOR, and legal aid.

You can use these for quick reference when you require information on the various eligibility limits, contributions and clawback levels (where applicable).

What’s changed?

Dependants’ disposable income allowances have increased.

However, there have been no further changes to any of the other financial limits or contribution amounts.

The Keycards have been updated to show the new disposable income allowances of £51.75 per week for partners, (£2,697 per annum), and £83.24 for dependents (£4,340 per annum).

These new rates apply from 8 April 2024.
