ABWOR in Parole Board cases: relevant legal aid regulations and Parole Board rules

The provision of ABWOR is governed by regulations 1, 3 and 11 of the ABWOR regulations.  These regulations must be read in conjunction with The Parole Board (Scotland) Rules 2001.

The ABWOR regulations allow for ABWOR to be provided in Parole Board cases (regulation 3(g)) and “at all stages of the proceedings before a tribunal relating to” a Parole Board case (regulation 11).
