We’re looking for a Digital Delivery Lead to oversee a portfolio of digital projects, ensuring delivery is effectively managed, risks are identified and resolved, and progress is reported clearly to support informed decision-making.
Working closely with project teams, senior leaders and business stakeholders, you’ll help drive continuous improvement in portfolio management, governance and reporting while building strong relationships across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex programmes of work, influencing stakeholders and improving the way digital delivery is managed.
Key responsibilities include:
- managing and maintaining oversight of the digital project portfolio, including timelines, priorities, risks and dependencies
- monitoring delivery progress, identifying issues early and supporting the effective prioritisation and sequencing of work
- leading portfolio risk and issue management, ensuring risks are actively managed, escalated where appropriate and driven through to resolution
- producing clear, concise reports, dashboards and portfolio updates to support senior leaders and governance groups in making informed decisions.
- building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, providing clear advice on delivery progress, risks and trade-offs
- supporting effective governance by coordinating delivery across teams and ensuring projects follow agreed reporting and governance standards
- identifying opportunities to improve portfolio management, reporting and delivery practices, using the autonomy of the role to develop more effective ways of working.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- experience managing multiple digital or IT projects, programmes or portfolios
- strong experience of risk and issue management, including escalation, mitigation and resolution
- the ability to analyse complex information and present it clearly through reports, dashboards and other management information
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear, practical and accessible way
- experience of building productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and supporting collaborative decision-making
- strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain oversight of multiple workstreams
- a proactive approach to continuous improvement, with the confidence to identify opportunities and implement better ways of working.
