Board committee structure and membership

Our work is overseen by Board members, who are appointed by Scottish Ministers.

Our committees

The Board has set up the following standing committees:

Legal Assistance Cases Committee

Audit and Risk Committee

The Audit and Risk Committee will advise the Board and Accountable Officer on the strategic processes for risk, control and governance, and the Governance Statement.

Section 31 Committee

The purpose of the Section 31 Committee is to determine whether to exclude a solicitor or counsel from giving legal assistance in accordance with the procedure.
