We understand that people in these particular situations may not know about all of their financial resources and/or have the ability to access financial evidence.
Where this lack of information and/or evidence is explained in the Financial Eligibility form 2, we can use our discretion to either disregard income or capital where we consider it reasonable to do so in the circumstances or provisionally assess financial eligibility based on the information available.
It is important to explain these situations when making the application to ensure our teams are aware of why information may be missing and to avoid an application being rejected or abandoned unnecessarily.
