Invite to take part in survey on solicitors’ role in Children’s Hearings

Thursday, Jul 30, 2015

This is just to let you know that you will be receiving an email from the Centre for Excellence for Looked After Children in Scotland (CELCIS) over the next couple of days. The email is your invitation to take part in an online survey of solicitors who are registered with SLAB to undertake children’s legal assistance.

On our behalf, CELCIS is seeking views of solicitors, and other stakeholders, on the operation of the Children’s Hearings system since the implementation of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011. This research has a particular focus on the solicitor role at Children’s Hearings and the findings from the research will be used to shape the way in which Children’s Hearings operate. More information about this research is on our website at http://www.slab.org.uk/news/articles/Childrens_research.html

We very much hope that you will consider taking part in this important piece of research. Your time in doing so is much appreciated. If you have any questions about the research please contact SLAB’s research team at research@slab.org.uk, or you can contact the CELCIS research team directly by emailing vicki.welch@strath.ac.uk.

Kind regards,
Marie-Louise Fox
Director of Operations
